After 4 years in a relationship, the latter of which was spent engaged, my fiance has decided that we work out better as just friends. I'm a heterosexual male enraptured by Germanic/Nordic pre-Christian culture, I'm a heavy metal musician (real metal, not "metalcore"), and I'm an avid writer. Returning to this topic, I realize my post was a bit short. Let me give a bit more detail.
Interests: I love to play music and listen to music. If you like Manowar, Sonata Arctica, Powerwolf, Týr, and such bands, we'll probably get on quite well. Also have an odd thing for Carly Rae Jepsen's music, but that's neither here nor there. I'm also a martial artist, and I absolutely love to fight. I consider any opponent worthy, regardless of gender. I'm a writer, a novelist to be precise, and I'd love to be with someone with whom I could share thoughts on literature.
Sexuality: Well, I'm heterosexual. Nothing against guys, just don't find them attractive, hahaha. Anyway, I do not expect or demand sex as a requisite in a relationship. It's nice, fun, and intimate, but certainly not required. I'm perfectly happy to kiss and snuggle, sex notwithstanding. As far as sex goes, I'm kind of a bit of a submissive fellow. That is, I quite like being the partner on the bottom, with the female on top. Hell, I'll even just sit by your feet like a puppy and be quite happy. But I can also be assertive if it makes my partner happy.
Turn Offs: I am an Asatruar, a worshipper of the Nordic gods, so if you are a militant religious individual, bent on converting others to your faith, we will not get along. If you think fantasy literature, cartoons, D&D, and other such things are stupid, we probably won't get along. If you can sprout wings and fly like a bat, I'll probably be jealous, but I think we'll get past it and get along just fine. :)
Not that I'm interested or anything - I'm happily taken and besides, I personally wouldn't put my add on the Zone, but again, that's just me so no offence meant.
And you actually sound like a decent enough guy so not having a go at you here,just curious; how long ago did you and your fiance break up? I ask because you made it sound like it just happened, but I would have thought you would have needed to give yourself time to heal before you jump in head first? That's just been my experience and observation though.

Not much healing to be had. We're still great friends, no hurt feelings or anything. It was about two weeks ago. I figure it takes so long to get a response online, might as well go ahead and put myself out there, just to get the ball rolling, to borrow the phrase. :) Thanks for your compliment, by the way. Hmm, I wish you the best of luck, though not many follow the paths of the Gods. And won't even think twice on your post after reading this, but at least you have put it out here, and now can pick out the ones who can accept. Plus I think maybe if you spoke about what you looked for in a woman: age, skin, race if it matters, any preference basically.

I am not particularly demanding, in that I don't set a lot of high requisites or lofty expectations. I want a woman who is happy being herself. If she happens to enjoy being picked up and carried about, that's always a plus, because I find that delightful fun. I'd like a girl with an open-mind for music and literature, and who is tolerant of my worship of the Nordic Gods, even if she does not follow the Old Way. If she likes being dominant, that would be very nice. If not, I understand and am happy to accept that fact. :)
As far as physical stats go, my past girlfriends have all been taller and stronger than me. I'm 5,8 and 165lbs, most of which is musculature, so that's a decent accomplishment on their part, but is absolutely not a requisite. Whether you're a tiny little pixie or an amazonian warrior, if our personalities click, then that would be fantastic.

Quite right. Tolerance is all I ask for. One need not follow in the Old Folkway to be my beloved. It sure as Helheim wouldn't hurt, but it's hardly required. :)

I agree wholeheartedly. Though, regarding the top 40, I must confess a certain fondness for Carly Rae Jepsen. But it's a rather uncharacteristic fondness. The realm of metal is my usual domain.

Even her other songs are pretty good. Her prior album, which is mostly acoustic stuff, is very pretty.
